How To Maximize Your Electronic Cigarettes Performance

smoking_electronic_cigaretteVaping is very much a personal experience, and you shouldn’t let anyone tell you that your methods of vaping are incorrect. With that being said, there are some easy ways to tweak your vaping habits a little bit in order to help you maximize your electronic cigarette’s overall performance. You may have had an experience in the past with your e-cig going out on you or a situation where you had trouble getting it to work like it used to, which made you replace it. You may even be having the trouble with the one you’re using right now. These minor problems are often caused by only minor issues. Luckily, easy issues means easy repairs, and any problem you may have will most likely be very easy to fix and can be resolved without any real effort.

With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at how electronic cigarettes work and see just how to make your overall experience better:

  • Keeping it clean: Always keep your e-cigarette in as pristine condition as you can. They’ll accumulate filth over time so make sure to wipe down that excess gunk that builds up around the connecting points and the cartridge area. Q-tips or soft cloth works best.
  • Keeping it charged properly: Many people will just throw their e-cigarette on the charger and forget about it, but keep in mind that overcharging your battery will make it wear out much faster.
  • Good liquid habits: If you’re having trouble producing vapor or your tank is leaking, it may be because you overfilled the tank. Try not fill it up more than 3/4ths of the way to the top.
  • Gravity is deadly: Try not to ever drop your e-cigarette. There’s a bunch of small parts that it’s made of that can go wrong if it falls on the ground.
  • Brand names: Try not to mix and match your brand names into one device. They’re not made to go together and it’s best to keep the same brand all on one piece.
  • Secure vs Tight: Don’t over tighten your tank to your battery. It can cause the threading to wear down or even block vapor production entirely.
  • Modding: Modding is great, but make sure not to use components or batteries in a device that the manufacturer hasn’t specified.
  • Burnt Cartridges: If you start tasting something foul or it seems like something’s burning, that’s generally a good indication that the cartridge itself needs to be replaced.
  • Hydration: Some people get sore throats or start coughing when they use their e-cigarette. If this is the case for you, try to increase your water intake, reduce your nicotine level, or even try a different flavor or brand entirely.
  • Battery life: If your battery seems like it’s not giving you the same strength that it used to, it might need to be charged. If that doesn’t work, then it could need to just be replaced, as you might have simply outgrown its capacity and need something a bit more advanced.

While understanding how electronic cigarettes work can seem complicated at first, it’s important to realize that they’re just basic electronics. If something goes wrong, there’s a reason for it. That reason can easily be identified and reconciled by just using basic troubleshooting skills and the willingness to give it a shot.
